Disabled Women & Motherhood

Through my involvement in the Economic and Social Research Council Partnership Research Conference/Workshops starting in 2005, I have worked closely with people who have learning difficulties and have knowledge of the barriers they continually face, specifically in the areas of health, reproduction and parenthood, and the discrimination they encounter. As a result of this work, and other projects I have been involved with the topic of Disabled women’s identity, I have a firm interest in exploring the barriers to Disabled women’s sexuality and the possibility of them becoming mothers.
